Broodmares
Brockham Stud’s broodmares have a foal every two years to ensure they are given time to rest after each foal as Lake Grace is a marginal rainfall area. Foals are weaned no earlier than six months old and often not until they are eight months old to ensure they get the best start in life. Some bloodlines of our boordmare herd are; Navatoe Mr T, Murrumbo Jasper, Doc's Kool Widower, Wagon Cook, Musturd Cutter, King Ranch, Roc'O'Lena, Doc's Spinifix, Jet Boom, Doc O Roy and Peptos Stylish Oak.
Princess is a 2000 Bay mare by Sire CURRELL PEPS FLYNN who is by Peptos Stylish Oak out of Royal Kool Babe who is by Royal Spin Bar (Doc's Spinifex) out of a Roc O Lena Mare. Princess has been in training and is about to start campdrafting. She is showing a lot of promise and is lovely to have around, easy to handle and unflappable.
Covergirl is ridden by Kate Bishop at Team Penning and Campdrafting. Covergirl has had one foal for us, a filly who we are not sure what colour she is going to be! Covergirl is back in foal for the 2015 season.
For Sale: "Lilly" is a 2001 (14 years) grand daughter of the great Doc's Spinifex. Brockham Stud purchased Lilly as a riding mare in 2010 but she has since been out having foals. She is 15.1hh and currently has a filly foal at foot by WP First Class Touchdown. Can be sold as a package - mare, filly foal at foot and in foal to Bob Acre Blue for $4,400 or empty for the coming 2015 breeding season or to be a ridden mare again.

Freckles Prairie Rose 6 yr old chestnut mare, 15.1 hh Sire: Freckles Zest Rose has had one black filly for us by Bob Acre Blue. Will be bred to Bob Acre Blue in spring 2015 to foal in 2016.
10 yr old chestnut mare, 15hh Sire: Duntay Workin Classman a very well performed cutting and campdrafting champion. Currently has a bay filly at foot by Bob Acre Blue.
Bay Mare 14.3hh Jayne was retained by the stud as her sire is our very first stallion Barnaby Jones (black) who is a Wagon Cook. Jayne is out of our wonderful old broodmare Lady Cavalier (dec.) who is just the best mother. They are very well put together horses with a bit of length about them and very smart horses. Currently has a gorgeous bay filly at foot.
Bay Mare, 14.3hh Domino was bred and retained by the stud due to an injury as a youngster. Sire: Doc’s Kool Widowers To be bred to Bob Acre Blue in 2015 foaling 2016 (missed in 2014).
“Quinn” is by a mare called Kaneira Quartet Q – 7084 a well bred mare who’s Grandsire on her Dams side was Mustered Cutter (IMP) Q – 699. A very well performed stallion over a number of Western disciplines including reining, cutting and working cow horse. Progeny For Sale include; Tanitaz Sonnet, Tanitaz Symphony Belle Currently in foal to Bob Acre Blue due in 2016
Sire Navatoe Mr T accrued 40 life points in western disciplines such as barrel racing, campdrafting, reining and halter. Casino missed in 2014 but will be bred to Bob Acre Blue spring 2015 to foal in 2016.
